TRADITIONAL TO THE CONTEMPORARY

As an educator, Raman is the consummate cultural ambassador presenting lectures, workshops and master classes at Universities and Colleges. She provides a variety of residency activities at local schools (K-12) through colleges and Universities including master classes, workshops, lecture demonstrations and for school assemblies; emphasizing the background, cultural context, history, technique, style and movements characteristic of Indian dances.

She has presented over 300 lectures, master classes and workshops on Indian dance, workshops on Indian dance technique, choreography, background, history, religion and culture across the nation which have received funding from Oregon Council for Humanities, National Endowment for the Arts, American Library Association, Oregon Cultural Trust, Beaverton Arts Commission, Cultural Coalition of Washington County and local libraries.

She has presented lectures on Indian music and dance at numerous colleges, Universities and schools across the nation, including:
